One of my most recent purchases includes THE LITTLE MATCH GIRL by Hans Christian Anderson, illustrated by Jerry Pinkney.
I remember the first time I read this story and visualized the scene. In my mind, everything
looked black and white except for the rosy cheeks of the girl.
Pinkney's rendition is fabulous. His illustrations are truly magnificent.
And the story? It's simply divine.
