Back--been gone too long

I knew summer would bring changes in my writing life. I didn't realize how quickly the time would pass and now I regret lost time. I ain't gettin any younger, so today I purpose to focus on my craft and fill the void with subbing and writing and subbing and writing. Just read my story, The Great Catch, in Stories for Children. What a thrill to see myself published, again. Yes, I can say, again. I'm addicted.
Sadly, one of my books, I FOUND AN ELK IN THE FOREST, which has been under serious consideration by Donna at Sylvan Dell will not find a home there. Just found out today. I allowed myself to envision the illustrations. It was to be a beautifully bound book with magnificent pictures giving children a sense of awe at this majestic animal. Well, as the story states, "My home's where I roam." So Elk still lives in my dreams roaming around looking for a home.

(Donna hoped I would find consolation in that it was "seriously considered". Thank you kindly, Donna. You are a dream editor.)
