My Bio

This is the biography information I am using.

Yes, I wish I could add credentials that would blow the socks off a

publisher. Until I'm published, this is it. I continue to believe that

everyone starts somewhere. Am I being naive to believe that

beginners should show the beginning? Isn't that what it's about?

A beginning, middle and end with conflict and resolution is part

of a writers story, right?

I taught in a private preschool, Hope for the Flowers, in Indianapolis,

Indiana for seven years and assumed the responsibilities of the director upon

her leave of absence for six months. This experience introduced me to the

wonders of childhood and showed me how eager children are to embrace the

written word through stories.

In addition, I was an elementary school media assistant. I worked for

Indianapolis Public Schools for twelve years. This sparked my interest in writing for

children.

Classes I have taken include Children’s Literature at Indiana University-Purdue

University at Indianapolis. Recently, I have chosen to pursue children’s writing as a full time

endeavor. I am beginning this venture with all the excitement and enthusiasm I have seen

children display when learning is fun. As a beginning writer I am looking forward to making a

contribution in the world of children’s literature. I am a member of SCBWI.
